Registration Fee*

Before submitting your film to the festival, we ask that you carefully read the conditions and pay the registration fee.

Once these fees are paid, you will be redirected to an online form to enter the details of your film.

By making the payment, you confirm your agreement with the conditions below. If you encounter any issues with the online form, you can contact us at: support@giffest.org

We offer a €5 discount if you use our app, with no additional fees.

FESTIVAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. We only accept horror, science fiction, and fantasy films (sub-genres are also accepted: slasher, giallo, western, etc.).

  2. By submitting your film, you authorize our festival to screen it physically on the day of the event, if it is selected.

  3. All selected producers/directors will be required to send a 2k DCP of their short film (either physically or digitally). In the absence of a DCP, you may provide us with an HD, 2K, or 4K file in mov or mp4 format.

  4. No premiere status is required for your film, however, it must have been completed after January 2021 and have a duration of less than 20 minutes for the official competition. We have an "out of competition" section for short films longer than 20 minutes.

  5. No refunds are possible if your film is disqualified or not selected.

  6. Selected films may be available for viewing for 15 days post-festival as part of the online replay program. Authorization will be requested from the distributor, director, producer, or rights holder of the film.

  7. Foreign language films that are selected must be subtitled in French; otherwise, they will not be screened.

  8. You authorize our festival to use posters, still images, and trailers to promote your film.

  9. All films are viewed and rated in a private circle. We will not provide feedback on the non-selection of a film.
